“As a former high school government and history teacher, I know how stressful Regents exams can be for high school students. Sometimes, the best way to prepare is to find a quiet space, with plenty of useful materials and resources, where you are not disturbed or distracted. I am thrilled to partner with Brooklyn Public Library to provide students in the 47th District with an opportunity to study and prepare in the right kind of environment. I have always believed that libraries are extensions of the classroom, and with this Regents prep assistance, Brooklyn Public Library is doing its part to help students find success in the classroom.”
– Council Member Mark Treyger, 47th District

“This can be a stressful time of year for students, and we’re pleased to partner with Council Member Treyger to give our patrons the opportunity to study or simply to unwind with their friends at Gravesend and Coney Island libraries. Young people throughout the borough have come to rely on our branches for free educational resources and recreation opportunities, and we’re especially happy to welcome them to the Library as they prepare for the Regents.”
