Andrew Dice Clay to Perform at Coney Island Amphitheater

@Andrew Dice Clay

Comedian Andrew Dice Clay is returning to Brooklyn. The Dice Man who attended Madison High School and decades ago lived in the same Nostrand ave. apartment building as Coney Island Blog editor Michael Quinn will be performing at the Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on Saturday, July 30th at 8pm. Tickets are available thru Ticketmaster.com.

Andrew Dice Clay got his start at the much missed legendary comedy club Pip’s on Emmons ave.

According to Michael Quinn “Dice’s mom would frequent my cousin’s store on Ave S. and keep everyone updated on “Andy’s” burgeoning career.”

According to Quinn “When Andrew Dice Clay first performed at Pip’s in Sheepshead Bay the movie Grease was becoming popular, so his original act played upon the Danny Zuko character mixed in with Brooklyn street humor.”

With his crude and offensive jokes and nursery rhymes Andrew Dice Clay was an 80’s powerhouse and the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden in 1990.

He’s recently made a TV comeback with his criitcally acclaimed performance in the HBO Series Vinyl produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger.

Hickory dickory dock..

See you there!
