Where to go AFTER the Mermaid Parade?

@ConeyIslandUSA

Long gone are the days when we used to find a parking spot on Stillwell ave. at noon, watch the antique cars parade down the boardwalk then drive home before sunset. The Mermaid Parade (please don’t call it the Mermaid Day Parade!) which this year will take place on Saturday, June 18th at 1pm, now brings in 800,000 visitors to Coney Island (most of them call it the Mermaid Day Parade).  So WE order you to LEAVE your car at home. Yes, please take the subway to the Mermaid Parade.

Steeplechase Beer Garden:

1904 Surf ave. in front of MCU Park

Goodbye Peggy O’Neill’s! Hello, Steeplechase Beer Garden. This is one of the best places to view the parade! There will also be live 80’s music performed by Radio Daze.
