Luna Park Leads Us Into Halloween Harvest

Luna Park Supervisor Ricardo

Thousands flocked Coney Island’s amusement parks today as the sun was shining and temps hit the mid 70’s. Although it is mid October and the beaches are closed you wouldn’t  know it as you strolled the boardwalk. With the sun shining bright people came out to celebrate Sukkot the autumn harvest time devoted to thanksgiving for the abundance of life.

Luna Park has been celebrating the Halloween Harvest  their own way. The park is currently adorned in a festive manner with new seasonal attractions including Kreative Katie’s spooky face painting prize winning pumpkin carving and the Luna Park “selfie”mirror. Ghosts and goblins galore!

There are still some very familiar attractions open at the park. Luna Park Supervisor Ricardo demonstrated for us the park’s most popular attraction, the Whac-A-Mole.

Deno’s Wonder Wheel park was also very crowded on this summer-ish day. Lines formed underneath the world famous Wonder Wheel and adjoining Kiddie Park.

Later on along  Surf ave. we spotted the always dapper El Dorado manager Louis Beard letting the folks know that his legendary disco bumper cars were open for everyone’s delight.
