Man Found Frozen to Death in Front of B&B Carousell

A 77 year old man was found dead directly in front of the historic B&B Carousell on the boardwalk at 7:15am this morning. The frozen man was found face up on the boardwalk in the brutal 5 degree weather.

According to the Daily News family members confirmed the victim as Coney Island resident Bai-Ping Wen.

Wen, a diabetic was visting friends in Chinatown and was expected home the night before; however, his family said that he never returned.

The medical examiner has yet to release the official cause of death.

Unless you are a member of the Polar Bear Club, please stay indoors when the outside temperature drops well below the freezing mark. There are many elderly residents in the Coney Island/ Brighton Beach area. Please check on your senior neighbors.
