Talking Sopranos Leads the Pack as Best Podcast

The podcast that was nearly whacked before seeing the light of day is now setting the standard for all others to follow. Fans of the hit HBO series The Sopranos are delighted by the podcast hosted by former Sopranos stars Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti, Tony Soprano’s nephew and Steve Schirripa, who played Bobby Bacala.

If you listen to the pilot episode of Talking Sopranos (which you will immediately after reading this) you will find out that the hosts weren’t sure about launching the podcast during the midst of a pandemic. However, millions of fans of the award winning show have become hooked on this podcast. For good reason. It’s so fascinated and engaging. Not only do the hosts analyze with amazing detail each episode, they also convey the anxieties and fears that they were experiencing while breaking into the business. After listening to episode one you’ll feel as though you’ve received an online degree in film production. It’s that informative!

Coney Island Blog founder Michael Quinn has been a fan of the Sopranos ever since he had a cameo with Imperioli in the second episode of the very first season of the HBO series. According to Quinn” Back in 98’ I heard from my friend the beloved late comedian Ray Garvey that HBO was casting a new series. I mailed them my headshot and got myself a cameo on the first season. At first I thought the show was about a group of opera singers. Then seven months after the scene with me was filmed the Sopranos became a pop culture sensation! I’m so excited about this podcast and that the show is more popular than ever. By far Talking Sopranos is my favorite new podcast. I love what Michael and Steve are doing!”

In addition Brooklyn native Schirripa hasn’t forgotten his roots. He’s been supporting young, energetic and extremely impressive city council candidate Steven Patzer for the 47th district, which includes Coney Island where Patzer is especially adored for his unrelentless support of the community.
