Ruby’s Opens A Week Earlier Than Expected

They told us “couldn’t resist; weather was awesome!” Neither could a few regulars who stopped by Coney Island’s oldest bar for a few drinks today.

I guess we can call today their soft seasonal opening. Yes, Ruby’s Bar and Grill was open today, a full week before their heavily promoted March 19th opening.

Each year seasonal businesses are opening earlier than expected, inching their way closer to making the amusement district a year round destination.

There isn’t a place on earth that has a more substantial collection of vintage Coney Island pictures than Ruby’s. It’s oldies jukebox and unconventional clientele is what keeps Coney Island distinctive.
