NYC Bar Patrons to Celebrate End of Cuomo Era at Stroke of Midnight

In a celebration rivaling New Year’s Eve, bar patrons across New York City will be gathering to count down to midnight on Monday at some of the establishments; soon to be former, Governor Andrew Cuomo shut down during the pandemic.

Tom Ross a regular at Pete’s Tavern ,which finally opened last week, plans to celebrate at the historic Irving Place watering hole this Monday night. “I can’t wait until the countdown to midnight. It should be televised live with Ryan Seacrest!” Ross also plans to carry the celebration over to nearby Paddy Maguire’s Ale House later in the evening.”

Murray Hill resident Chris Melvin plans to celebrate Countdown Cuomo over a pint of Guinness and Feltman’s Coney Island Frankfurters at Jimmy Fallon’s favorite bar Molly’s Shebeen Pub on 3rd ave near 23rd st. “Freedom Franks and a pint to celebrate the end of an era hostile to the restaurant industry!” Melvin proclaimed. “Me and the guys are planning on blowing leftover New Year’s party horns at Manhattan hot spot Gem Saloon shortly after midnight!

Bar owner Larry Baird who famously banned Cuomo from his establishment believes most restaurant and bar owners will be banning the disgraced soon to be former Governor of New York. “vax card or no vax card civilian Andrew Cuomo is still banned for life from my establishment! Karma is a bitch! Isn’t it?” Baird said with a satisfying grin.
